Yet fundraisers make unique and impactful contributions to the social good, and their work can change the world in real and meaningful ways. For some, fundraising is a career skill that can lead to well-paid career opportunities in a wide variety of fields within the not-for-profit sector. Consider volunteering at an organization and begin making a difference.
At the DJC, your fundraising committee ensures that the DJC remains financially sustainable and able to continue delivering the progressive, inclusive, joyful and music-filled services and programs you expect. To do this we:
- Create and manage fundraising appeals through direct mail and email
- Communicate with donors in person and by phone (yes, it’s important to talk to our members!)
- Develop special events
- Explore ideas for legacies, grants and other opportunities
