Who wants to be a fundraiser?

Already you might be thinking, “Ask people for money? No way. Not me.”

Yet fundraisers make unique and impactful contributions to the social good, and their work can change the world in real and meaningful ways. For some, fundraising is a career skill that can lead to well-paid career opportunities in a wide variety of fields within the not-for-profit sector. Consider volunteering at an organization and begin making a difference.

At the DJC, your fundraising committee ensures that the DJC remains financially sustainable and able to continue delivering the progressive, inclusive, joyful and music-filled services and programs you expect. To do this we:

  • Create and manage fundraising appeals through direct mail and email
  • Communicate with donors in person and by phone (yes, it’s important to talk to our members!)
  • Develop special events
  • Explore ideas for legacies, grants and other opportunities

We’re actively looking for new committee members whose energy, creativity and effort will make a difference and help the DJC thrive into the future. If this sounds like you, contact us at fundraisingdjc@gmail.com.
