Our teen program empowers young DJC members to get creative, learn together, expand their horizons and experience new ways of thinking. We ensure that everyone can participate through a combination of pizza fundraisers and subsidies.
Recent highlights include a trip to Montréal where they attended a service at Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom, visited the Biodome, the Labyrinth in the Old Port, and went on a Jewish tour of Mile End. Poutine and bagels were enjoyed by all!
In the winter DJC teens often attend the Bernard and Audre Rapoport L’Taken Social Justice Seminars in Washington, D.C. for four days of advocacy and action. This is an amazing opportunity to meet peers from across North America and learn about Jewish perspectives on issues such as reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, climate change, Israel, health care, and more.
