Join Ve’ahavta, Oraynu Congregation for Humanistic Judaism, Danforth Jewish Circle, Shoresh and the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre and Anishinaabe traditional teacher, Kim Wheatley for an evening exchanging Jewish and Indigenous connections to nature.
Tu B’Shvat is traditionally known as the Jewish holiday celebrating the birthday of trees. This Tu B’Shvat Seder will look at some of Judaism’s teachings on honouring and cultivating a relationship to our environment. We will explore themes of Action, Creation, Formation and Spirit – while sharing in Indigenous teachings on these themes through songs, poetry, reflections and traditional food rituals.
To pre-register: Tu B’shvat Seder 2018
Please note: this event does not include a full dinner.
