Let’s come together for a Love-Filled Tu B’Av Kumzitz

August 19 @ 7:30 pm

In-Person Event

August 19th @ 7:30 pm at the fire pit in Withrow Park

This Tu B’Av, we’re turning up the love-o-meter and inviting you to our summertime kumzitz! Picture this: a laid-back evening filled with impromptu music, community, and good vibes.

What to Expect:

🎶 Music & Singing: Got a guitar, a tambourine, or even a kazoo? Bring it along! We’re creating an informal symphony of love (and possibly some creative noise). No instrument? No problem! Your vocal cords are instruments too, so warm them up and get ready to belt out – or hum – some love songs. This is not a concert or a performance but rather our community dusting off our favourite folk songs and singing together. There will be prizes for who knows all the words to American Pie!

🌟 Community Spirit: Think of it as a musical family reunion. Meet new friends, reconnect with old ones, and bond over shared tunes and laughter. Let’s bring our DJC community together over the summer break to stay connected.

🍪 Snacks Provided: We’ve got snacks to keep you fueled, because singing about love is hungry work. Come for the music, stay for the food. Who says you can’t have your smores and eat it too?

Why You Should Join:

Tu B’Av is basically the Jewish Day of Love. It’s all about love and community, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by making some joyous noise together. We’ll celebrate LOVE in all the ways: loving ourselves, loving others, loving the Earth.

Bring your friends, your family, your neighbours, and everyone else! Let’s make this Tu B’Av a night of laughter, love, and memorable melodies.
