Jewish Stories That Shape Us & Our Children ~ The Haggadah – The Telling

March 26, 2015 @ 4:45 pm - 6:00 pm

Adult Ed during Children’s Jewish Studies Program led by Rabbi Miriam.  Open to all .

Pesach is the most celebrated of all the Jewish holy days. In large measure, that has to do with families getting together to eat. And in large measure it has to do with a very compelling story – a story of liberation from slavery and how we live with our freedom. It is both particular to the Jewish people, central to what it means to be Jewish, and it is universal in its messages. It is the root of Jewish commitments to justice and anti-oppression. How do we tell this story in ways that strengthen particularistic Jewish identity and reach out into the world in justice and compassion?
