Hybrid Group Bet Mitzvah Shabbat Service

June 1 @ 9:30 am

A group of adults face away from us as they lift the torah scroll

This event is hybrid – you have the option of joining in-person or online!

If you will be joining us online, you can download the siddur here.

Bet Mitzvah is an honourable and meaningful tradition – it gives us a moment to treasure and honour our young people as they become the newest Jewish adults in our community.

Our annual group Bet Mitzvah service is a tremendous celebration for the whole DJC community. This year, we have 3 classes of students to celebrate with! Please join us as we call this year’s Bet Mitzvah students to the Torah, as they participate in leading the service, chanting from the Torah portion and teaching us through their Divrei Torah/Divrei Tefillah and Tikkun Olam projects. Be part of treasuring and honouring our young people as they step into new roles of Jewish creativity, responsibility and leadership in our community and among the Jewish people.

Register in advance for this meeting: ZOOM LINK

Young families attending the service in person are invited for David & Bagel’s Shabbat Breakout which happens midway through the service when the Torah is read.

*For attendees, please use the Danforth doors unless you require assistance, in which case, please use the Jackman door.*
