Michael Posner has documented the life of Leonard Cohen in three volumes. This is the first, which follows him from his childhood in Montreal to university and his literary career. Then to music and  his first international tour in 1970. The book is a comprehensive exploration into Cohen’s formative years and his ensuing public life. Exhaustive interviews with family, friends, colleagues and lovers, uncovered new and revealing facts about this complex, fascinating man.

Biography of Michael Posner:
Michael Posner is a Canadian award-winning writer, playwright, journalist, biographer of Anne Murray and Mordecai Richler, plus nine previous books. He has held senior editorial positions with Maclean’s Magazine, the Globe and Mail and the Financial Times among others.
