What better way to welcome 2023 than to take a nostalgic look back at 1954?

Director Barry Levinson (“Diner”) once again recreates the Baltimore of his youth in this coming of age story. A deceptively simple tale of a suburban Jewish family with two teenage boys, Liberty Heights tackles antisemitism and race relations in a realistic and at times, comedic manner. Adrian Brody stars in one of his early roles in this heartwarming window into family life at that period.

This is a virtual movie night. We will meet on Zoom for a brief introduction to the movie, watch it on Kanopy, and then rejoin Zoom for discussion.
