Led by Rabbi Miriam
Purim is a festival of turning reality upside down and diving into the ridiculous and the irreverent. Come in costume — reveal some hidden aspect of yourself or come as your opposite. Be part of the somersaulting consciousness and holy hooplah!
We’ll begin the evening all together with food, wacky megillah reading and story telling. During the second half of the evening, the children will enjoy age-appropriate programs while the adults enjoy an inappropriate adult program! Rabbi Miriam has come dressed as a frum Rebbetzin, a smarmy lounge singer, and as a particular US President. Who will she be this year? Who will you be?
One of the mitzvot of Purim is matanot l’evyonim (gifts to the poor). Students from our Children’s Jewish Studies program will provide a Tzedakah box for cash donations. All cash received will be donated to a local charity.
Please bring a NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEM for the Bethany Food Bank.
