Current Antisemitism: A DJC Community Conversation

June 17 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

This evening’s event has several purposes: to be a supportive Jewish space for Jews and allies to talk about the current surge in antisemitism and how it is affecting us; to gain greater understanding of the dynamics of current antisemitism in relation to the recent eruption of violence in Israel and Gaza; and to think together as the DJC community about our collective responses to antisemitism. When do we sign onto public statements and which ones? When do we write our own messages and what should they convey? How do we build strong partnerships and solidarity with other groups as we work to end all forms of hatred and systemic oppression, and ask others to stand with us against antisemitism? Please come with a commitment to learn from each other in our diverse community – speaking from your own experiences and values, and listening to experiences and commitments that may be different from your own.
