Building Sabbatical Culture – Adult Learning
October 18 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
This year, 5782, is a Sabbatical/Shmita year. This year is a special opportunity to explore ways of shaping our contemporary lives with traditional wisdom and practices – letting the land rest, renew and reclaim wildness; releasing our grip on ownership; ensuring everyone has enough to eat; and cultivating spiritual practices of letting go and letting be. This session will spark the beginning of year-long learning, discussion and the option to participate in a Shmita practice Havurah (small groups to practice with). You can read Rabbi Miriam’s Rosh Hashana sermon about Shmita here.
