Hello, my name is Emma Firsten-Kaufman. I’m a new member of the DJC Board of Directors, and one of my goals for the year is to create programs to engage people like me: young adults in the community who are, or feel, too old to go to Jewish school and youth programs, and too young to hang with the bubbies and baby boomers.
Therefore, I’m looking to get in touch with people who know, or who are figuring out, what it means to be youngish Jews in Toronto in 2016, gaining our independence from our parents’ generation, and possibly starting our own families.
So… I am reinstating the DJC Youngish & Jewish group and would love to hear from you! What can we do more of, or do better, to peak the interest of youngish DJC members? Do you have family members, friends, or neighbours who might have suggestions and/or would like to get involved? Please send me an email and let me know.
