A note from the Purim Carnival Committee
Purim CarnivalThank you!! The Purim Carnival was a great success and we could not have done it without the help of our dedicated volunteers. We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for making this years Carnival a fun, safe and exciting event for our children.

(Editor’s addition: And don’t forget to check out more pictures from the event, which you can find here.)

School update—winter 2006
The DJC school is going at full throttle! Rabbi Eliza came and spoke to each of the classes to discuss what it means to be a rabbi and answer the children’s questions. We had an exuberant Purim party in early March complete with music, puppet show, games, great food and bake sale. This month we are conducting a Passover Seder in the classroom with a theme related to Peace and Love. The Bar/Bat Mitzvah program has been operating at a very high standard throughout the year with an excellent curriculum. We are looking forward to our upcoming potluck Shabbats. These events include the whole family. We come together on a Friday night, share a delicious meal followed by a Shabbat service conducted by our children.

So, it’s been a very busy and fun time for all. The students and their teachers have been hard at work in this year’s Jewish Studies Program.

Also, be sure to check out the latest update from Principal Jason Leizer, which you’ll find here. And don’t forget that the school is closed April 13 and 20 for Passover.

Which brings us to…
